After receiving his PhD from Caltech in 2006, Brian Rogers joined the faculty at MEDS in the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, where he currently resides. His research interests are mostly in economic theory, in particular the fields of network formation and social learning. Professor Rogers' work focuses on modeling the formation of large-scale social networks and examining the implications of network structure on behavioral and information transmission processes. A second line of research is aimed at developing and applying statistical game theoretic models, which are often useful for describing and interpreting experimental data. As part of this research, he frequently use experiments to test modeling assumptions, and suggest directions for improving theories.
